Gear Review: Sit Seat Travel Harness

Product Description: The Sit Seat Baby Travel Harness is a multipurpose travel chair. It is made to attach to a chair (as a highchair), to YOU (on a plane, bus or train, etc.), or to a shopping cart. It can be used for kids 5 months up to 37 lbs.

Cost: USD$39.95.

Can be purchased at One Step Ahead.

Pros:

  • Great for travel, fits easily into a suitcase, large purse or diaper bag.
  • Multi-use.
  • Small and lightweight.
  • Affordable.
  • Has a non-slip bottom.

Cons:

  • Straps don’t have stoppers, so ends could pull out of the buckle if not careful.
  • Buckles in the back, so could potentially become uncomfortable when being worn by an adult on a long trip.
  • Not FAA certified, so – depending on the airline – may not be allowed to take-off or landing.

Recommendation: Yes! I actually bought this online while on a trip to Panama, where most restaurants don’t have highchairs, because I wished I’d had it. I still throw in my bag for backup (even at home) just incase there isn’t a highchair available.
